Are the Purotouch products sustainable?Updated a month ago

The manufacturer demonstrates a commitment to sustainability through various initiatives. They aim to become carbon neutral by 2023 and have a strong positive impact on the environment by 2035. They have invested in environmentally responsible practices since at least 2010, including obtaining certification EN ISO 14001, investing in a large solar power plant, and a recycling unit. Additionally, they strive to reduce waste, maximise reuse of internal waste, use eco-friendly products and materials, and reduce energy consumption. Starting to use >10% biobased content in Purotouch products (originating from sugar beet and sugar cane) significantly enhances their sustainability. However, the current products are made from long-life polyurethane, which is not recyclable. While the materials used for trimming the panelling are recyclable, the overall sustainability of the products might be compromised due to the non-recyclable main material.
