Can I request a sample of the ladder wood?Updated a year ago
Our bookcase ladders are crafted with meticulous attention to detail, using premium materials such as solid oak and walnut to ensure both durability and aesthetic appeal. However, when it comes to natural wood, each piece is inherently unique, with variations in colour, grain, texture, and tone that are characteristic of the material's organic origin.
Due to these natural variations, providing samples of ladder wood can be misleading to customers. The sample may not accurately represent the full range of characteristics present in the actual ladder wood, leading to potential discrepancies in appearance between the sample and the final product.
For example, a wood sample may have more or less grain, a different tone or colour, or more natural knots than what is found in the batch of wood used for the ladder. We strive to maintain consistency in quality, but variations in wood are inevitable and part of its natural beauty.
To ensure transparency and to avoid any misrepresentation, we have made the decision not to supply ladder wood samples. Instead, we encourage customers to trust in the quality of our materials and craftsmanship, knowing that each ladder is expertly crafted to meet our high standards.
If you're concerned about finishing the ladder yourself without testing a sample first, we understand your apprehension. To address this, we recommend that once you receive your ladder, we encourage you to test a small amount of your desired finish, such as lacquer or stain, on the underside of one of the ladder steps. This allows you to see how the finish interacts with the wood and ensures that you're satisfied with the result before proceeding with the entire ladder.
